Pastor Jimmie Early began serving as New Direction Community Church's Pastor in 2023.

Pastor Jimmie grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he attended church with his family as a child.  Pastor Jimmie and his wife, Meghann, married while he was serving in the US Coast Guard. He later served in law enforcement as well as fire and rescue.  He first felt called to ministry at 27 years old. Over the years, this calling has been confirmed numerous times through various men and women of God.  He and his wife Meghann have been happily married for 17 years with 4 children.

Jimmie and Meghann fell in love with the town of Luray, Virginia during an anniversary trip celebrating their first year of marriage.  Since then, the Shenandoah Valley, specifically Luray, has had a hold on their hearts, and they felt sure that someday it would become their home.  God paved the path in incredible ways, and they moved to Luray in 2021.  Jimmie left his job as a professional EMT/firefighter to position himself so that he could embrace God's plan for him in ministry. Again, God clearly pointed the Early's towards New Directions Community Church (NDCC), ultimately being called to serve as Pastor in 2023.

As a pastor, Jimmie's heart is for bringing the people of God together in fellowship under strong biblical preaching.  In additions, Jimmie longs to disciple and raise up leaders to do great things for the Lord.  He feels a burning desire to lead NDCC where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, and members desire to connect others to the body of Christ. 

Pastor Jimmie cannot wait to see how the Lord uses New Direction Community Church to love and shape this Valley.
